Nuffield Health Cambridge Case Study
Nuffield Health Cambridge
Medical Monitor Arms | Healthcare | UK
The Nuffield Health Hospital Cambridge re-opened in 2015 after a £30 million investment. The new facility offers state of the art Orthopaedic, Oncology, General Surgery, Urology, ENT and Specialist Paediatric Services. It was also the first hospital ever to be classed as “Outstanding” overall by the Care Quality Commission in 2016.
In 2016 Nuffield were looking to install a series of Patient Entertainment Systems (PES) into their newly opened Chemotherapy Suite. After an initial consultation and site survey it was clear they were looking for a system that would allow screens to be easily accessible to all the bays but take up as little floor space as possible. It was for that reason the hospital decided that the ErgoMounts Elite Ceiling Mount would be the most suitable solution due to its high level of adjustment, small ceiling footprint and durability.
Highly recommended. Very, very good service. Excellent engagement throughout the order and fast delivery. Stunning product as well.

The ErgoMounts Elite Medical Monitor Arm Ceiling Mount incorporates design features allowing it to support a screen up to 12.7Kg while still providing effortless movement. The Elite allows a television or monitor to be suspended from the ceiling and pulled out when required. The Elite arm is fully cable managed, gas spring assisted and provides up to 21” (53.34cm) of vertical and 42” (106.68cm) of horizontal adjustment from mount to monitor. As standard this ceiling mount is available with the following pole drop lengths: 5”, 12”, 24” or 36”.
Our installation partner, Vision2AV was tasked with installing all of the mounts and IT hardware. One issue discovered when arriving at the site was that the ceiling support structure wasn’t wide enough to mount the standard Elite brackets to. Luckily their team of highly skilled installers were able to construct a timber frame to sit above the dropped ceiling and successfully take the weight of the medical mounting arm.
Everything was delivered and installed within the given time frame and budget and both patients and staff have been very happy with their new PES mounts.
